Whether your child dreams of starring in the West End or you just want to move and have fun, there’s a class for everyone at Shimmi Shake Dance Studio. We offer a range of dance and musical theatre classes in Bromley and Orpington for children aged 3–18 and adults of all experience levels.
Our classes focus on confidence, creativity and connection, all wrapped up in movement and music. Your first class is free, so come along and give it a go.
Monday: Musical Theatre (Ages 9+)
Location: Chantry Studios, Bromley
A high-energy musical theatre class combining singing, acting and dancing, perfect for older children with big personalities. Build stage skills, teamwork and self-belief in a fun, supportive setting.
Tuesday: Musical Theatre (Ages 5–9)
Location: Chantry Studios, Bromley
Full of imagination and play, this musical theatre class helps younger children express themselves through song, movement and storytelling. A joyful introduction to the world of performing arts.
Wednesday: Inter (Ages 11-16) and Senior (Ages 16+) Ballet, Tap, and Technical Jazz/Street
Location: Oakley Fitness, Petts Wood, Orpington
A vibrant mix of classical and commercial dance styles. These dance classes help build strong technique, flexibility and performance skills – ideal for dancers ready to take things up a level.
Thursday: Inter (Ages 11-16), Senior (Ages 16+) and Adult (Ages 18+) Street
Location: GEA Hall, Petts Wood, Orpington
An upbeat and empowering class focusing on street and commercial dance styles, great for improving coordination, rhythm, and confidence. Open to both teens and adults.
Saturday: Babes (Ages 3-5), Junior (Ages 5-8) and Inter (Ages 8-11) Ballet, Tap, and Street
Location: Oakley Fitness, Petts Wood, Orpington
Our Saturday programme offers a range of foundational and progressive classes for all ages, nurturing technique, creativity, and a love of dance from the very beginning.
Coming soon: Contemporary, Lyrical and Jazz
A dynamic blend of classes focusing on both the technical precision of jazz and the fluid, emotive qualities of contemporary and lyrical styles, providing a well-rounded and inspiring training experience.
