Gemma Stanley

Gemma began as a student of Shimmi Shake when she was 10 years old and learnt everything she knows about both dancing and teaching from Sue herself.

She began teaching for Shimmi Shake as a Saturday job whilst still at School.  During this time she qualified as a dance teacher with the IDTA by passing the Associate level teachers exams in Freestyle, Tap and Dance Exercise.

Gemma went on to become a full time teacher with Shimmi Shake once she turned 18.

Nowadays, she works full time in London, and therefore only teaches on a Saturday for Shimmi Shake.  Gemma is very happy to have the opportunity to teach at the weekends, and to still be a part of the successful Shimmi Shake team.

Jodie Tye

I first realised I loved to dance when I started disco dancing at the age of 10. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to also take up tap and ballet. When I was 14 I decided to leave my secondary school to go and study dance at the Brit school for 2 years. When I left here I went on to study Performing Arts full time at Reynolds Performing Arts college for 3 years. Here I achieved various certificates in dance and took part in many shows. I also take part in many classes at pineapple these classes include hip hop, fusion funk, street locking and many others. Since leaving college last year I have been on the 30 date uk tour of Ray Quinn, where I was a backing dancer for Lauren Rose. I have also done a corporate gig in Long Island, New York and danced at various events.

I LOVE TO DANCE!!
